John Ferrando, Kiln-Formed glass Artists and Instructor, will present at SAGAG's March General Meeting via Zoom.

  • 7:15 John's presentation will begin

Ohio resident John Ferrando has been working in the medium of fused glass for several years. Kiln-formed glass Artist, instructor, and owner at Haute Fusion Glass Studio & Gallery in Downtown Middletown, OH, John's personal objective is to never stop learning, continue to experiment with glass, and explore its possibilities without limiting himself to traditional methods.

He continues to challenge himself through invention and innovation. He strives to create textures that compel touch, colors that provoke memory, and shapes that expand reality”. Johns career as an artist and instructor in glass began while he held a position at a local city organization teaching individuals with Developmental Disabilities the art of Kiln-Form Glass and mosaic.

In addition to teaching classes and workshops at his own Studio, John has been an instructor at the Las Vegas Class Craft and Bead Expo for the past few years, as well as a traveling guest instructor at several glass studios around the United States. John also enjoys his position as the Glass Instructor at the Middletown Community Center for the Arts. Teaching fused glass, mosaic glass and stained glass techniques to their students. John is a devoted husband to his wife of 15 years, and father of 4 children and one fur baby.

We meet monthly with the exception of August and December. It's a great opportunity to meet people who have a passion for glass. We talk, learn and enjoy each others' company.
