Join SAMMinistries, the San Antonio Potters Guild and the San Antonio Glass Art Guild at the 18th Annual Empty Bowls. The event will feature handcrafted bowls that guests can take home and for each bowl purchased, guests will enjoy delicious soup and bread from local restaurants, catering companies and hotels.

All proceeds benefit San Antonio families facing homelessness who are served by SAMMinistries programs and has raised more than $500,000 since 2000.

How to Help-

Donate glass bowls made from any type of glass, donate an artwork to the silent auction, or volunteer!  All proceeds from donations will go to supporting SAMMinistries, who help our own San Antonio communities.

Silent Auction-

Donation sheets are due by Feb 9, emailed or faxed to Leah at leah@tcbphysicianbillingsolution.com.  Fax: 210-494-1117. 

The information sheets only are due, with the donation art piece information.  The art donation itself is not due until the morning of Empty Bowls.  The silent auction pieces can be anything!  Put your cards and artist info with the artwork to get recognition and free advertising.  This all goes to a wonderful cause, so please help out if you can!  A donation for the silent auction must have the sheet turned in by February 9 or it might not be accepted.  Remember, it's only the information about your art due, so you still have time to make it! Making Bowls-

Make them at home with scrap glass or recycled glass.  You can use this tutorial to help- (insert tutorial on making bowls here).  All glass bowls are extremely popular and will sell immediately!  This year, we have a new tent just for higher priced bowls.  So your bowl will sell for lots of money and make a huge donation for SAMMinistries!  This is a wonderful way to get our glass art recognized in San Antonio, as these bowls are featured on news channels and on advertising!  

Volunteer-

Volunteers get official volunteer hours, plus the satisfaction of giving back to the community and having fun at the same time!  

Volunteer for Saturday, March 3, to pick up soup from various restaurants around San Antonio

or

Volunteer for Sunday, March 4, for event set-up and/or the Empty Bowls sale.

For the Empty Bowls event, we will need volunteers to help set up starting at 8am.  The sale starts at 11am, for which we need volunteers for bowl sales, bagging and wrapping at cashier's stands, silent auction area, and liaisons for the SAGAG "show and tell" glass tent.
